We have a glorious section of root vegetable, carrot and parsnip seeds. Choose from the Sparkler Radish or Unwins' Rainbow Mix of colourful carrots.
There's an old wive's tale which says root vegetables should be sown when the moon is waxing, and above-ground crops when the moon is waning. But we have just two good tips for good root veg: ensure the soil is not too stony to avoid comical shapes, and cover with insect netting (or use Nemasys Grow Your Own) to keep away root fly.
