The spice shelf plum chutney
Best quality plums are mixed with the special Spice Shelf blend of herbs and spices to achieve this deliciously warm, sweet and spicy chutney. An ideal accompaniment to pates, cheese, cold meats and smoked fish.

THE SPICE SHELF is a small, independent producer in West Sussex. Headed by chef Meher Salman, the recipes are inspired by those of her Indian grandmother. Since it began in 2002, The Spice Shelf has won 13 Great Taste awards from the Guild of Fine Food. In May 2006 the company was praised by top chef, Marco Pierre White, when he chose The Spice Shelf's range of condiments as 'best product' at the Royal Windsor Food & Drink Festival. All ingredients are carefully selected by Meher and her team, and cooking is always done in small batches to achieve the best possible quality and flavour.

Tricky time of year, bit late for Seville oranges for Marmalade, too early for jams and most chtuenys. Onions always seem to be around, maybe some onion marmalade, we tried this once, ours was yuck, so good luck!
